Wheel Trimming Class

Description

This finishing class is designed for anyone who has already created pieces in one of our wheel throwing classes or during Open Studio and would like to bring them to their final form. You will learn how to trim your leather-hard pieces, refine their shape and proportions, and add your own personal details. We will also work with carving techniques and colored slips (engobes), giving you the opportunity to decorate and individualize your pottery before firing. What you will do: Trim and refine your wheel-thrown pieces, shape the foot, add decorative details, carve patterns, and work with colored slips. Duration: 2-3 hours Please note: This class is intended for pieces previously made in one of our wheel throwing classes or during Open Studio. Glazing is not included. After your pieces have been bisque fired, you can book a separate glazing class or add our glazing service to complete your pottery.
